Ghana publishes Medium-Term Revenue Strategy review

The Revenue Policy Division of Ghana’s Ministry of Finance (MoF) has published a short report summarising the country’s experience of producing its first Medium-Term Revenue Strategy (MTRS) in 2023. Drawing on a series of interviews of participants in the MTRS process conducted by TaxDev researchers, the joint MoF-TaxDev report highlights both the strengths of the process and the challenges faced in putting together this key policy framework. It will feed into ongoing lesson-learning work on MTRS implementation, and future MTRS processes – both in Ghana and beyond.
